Enhancement of existing STP/ETP


Whatever may be the type of waste water treatment plant, the major cleaning is done by certain beneficial microbes. This is also measured by MLSS and MLVSS count.

Bioaugmentation is the process of inoculating beneficial microbes into a waste water stream to increase the efficiency of the system. Waste water research scientists estimate that only 5-10% of the native microbes in a waste treatment facility contribute to the treatment process. The rest compete for available oxygen and nutrients. OS Probiotics technology works on the principle of increasing the percentage of “performing” bacteria within the treatment plant. Regular inoculations are made to ensure that the healthy microbes continue their dominance by the method of “competitive inhibition”. OS Probiotics outnumber the pathogens so that they cannot successfully compete for the available nutrients and oxygen. This greatly restricts their growth and results in rapid multiplication of OS Probiotics.

Addition of Probiotics in STPs yield many benefits and enhances the performance of the STP/ETP. We have engineered two different blends for waste water treatment OS1dms®-WW and OS3 and the Bioaugmentation solutions are customized according to the type of effluent, type of STP and type of problems faced.

Our technology helps the wastewater engineers to solve their problems related to commissioning, refractory COD/BOD reduction, shock loads, odour issues, toxicity, hydrocarbons, ammonical nitrogen or any other problem encountered in the treatment process.
